AP Exams and Final Exams: AP Exams began on May 5, 2026, and our final exams begin on Monday, May 18, 2026. Here is our detailed schedule of exams, including dates, times, and locations. Students eligible for exam exemption will be notified today and Monday. Those students who took an AP exam do not have to take a final exam next week.

Let’s Celebrate! ALL grade 12 and 13 students are invited to our annual Senior Celebration on Wednesday, 5/20/26, from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm in the Levine I Atrium. We will have a Senior slide show, music, a Taco Bar, some awards, a senior gift, and cake! EVERYONE goes to the Senior Celebration!

REQUIRED Senior/Graduate Survey: All Grade 13 students and seniors (whether
graduating or staying for Grade 13) need to complete our senior/graduate survey by May 11. For
seniors staying for Grade 13, this is where you will indicate that you’re staying for Grade 13. For
graduating students, this will serve as your final high school transcript request and provide the
information we need for graduation. If transferring to another college, please wait until you make
your decision on where you’ll attend before completing the survey. ALSO, If you have not ordered
your cap and gown for CMS graduation, please see Ms. McKinstry as soon as possible.

Graduation: LMCHS’s Commencement Ceremony will take place on 5/28/26 at 8:00 am at Ovens Auditorium.

• Tickets will not be required for entrance.
• All graduates must wear a cap and gown to participate in the ceremony.
• Students participating in graduation are required to attend a rehearsal at Ovens on Friday, 5/22/26, at 12:30pm. Students should sit in the center section nearest the stage for the start of rehearsal.
• Guests can enter the venue 60 minutes before the ceremony (7:00 am).
• Graduates should arrive at 7:15 am for the ceremony and report to the upper-level lobby area (we will practice lining up here during our rehearsal).
• The following items are prohibited by Ovens and will not be permitted in the auditorium: Balloons, Flowers, Air Horns, Backpacks, Banners, Gifts, Noise Makers, Packages, Strollers, and Outside Food or Beverages. All guests and graduates will be “wanded” upon entry.
• Guests may bring non-clear bags up to 4.5” x 6.5” in size. Any non-clear bag larger than this will not be allowed. Guests may bring CLEAR bags up to 12” x 6” x 12”. Any clear bag larger than this will not be allowed.

• Cady Photography will take photos of all graduates and email the parents directly with proofs and info to purchase (using the parents' email in Infinite Campus) after the event. If a parent or family member does not receive the personalized email, they may visit the Cady website graduation ceremony link and manually search for photos by entering the student’s information.

Morehead-Cain School Nomination: The Morehead-Cain Scholarship is a highly competitive, fully-funded merit
scholarship program at UNC Chapel Hill. Students start the application process by either self-nominating or being a
school nominee. Levine is allowed to nominate two seniors graduating in May 2027, not staying for Grade 13. If
interested, please turn in the application to Ms. Van Lauwe (by email or dropping off at the front office) by the end of
the day on Monday, May 18. Interviews with Levine's Scholarship Committee will be on Thursday, May 21, starting at
9 AM.

Calculators: If you borrowed a calculator for a college class, please return it to Mr. Weghorst immediately after your
last college final.

Chromebooks – End-of-Year Procedures: The district is REQUIRING us to collect all CMS issued chromebooks,
chargers, and hotspots over the summer (or document summer usage by filling out the form at the link below). If you
are returning next year, a chromebook will be reissued to you at orientation or the first week of school.

Graduating students:

• Your device MUST be returned before your diploma can be issued
• Please turn in your Chromebook, charger, and hotspot (if applicable) to the front office as soon as your classes are finished (or earlier if you are not using it)
• If there is damage to the device, a fee will be assessed and must be paid before your diploma will be issued

Returning students with no summer classes:

• Please turn in your Chromebook, charger, and hotspot (if applicable) to the front office as soon as your classes are finished (or earlier if you are not using it)
• Your device will be inspected for damage, and a fee will be assessed if damage is found

Returning students who need to keep their device for CPCC summer classes or online classes:

• Your current device and charger must be Quick Verified in the front office to confirm there is no damage to the device
• Your device will be inspected for damage, and a fee will be assessed if damage is found
• Your parent must fill out this form: CMS Summer Student Technology Agreement Form *no signed paper copy is required
