Dress Code Reminder: Just a reminder to our students that our dress code prohibits any clothing that is “disruptive or offensive.” This includes any dress, skirt, or shorts that are excessively short and/or tight. (ex. shorts with rear/bottom exposed). Infractions will be addressed privately, and the student will be asked to change clothes or call a parent to bring a change of clothes for the day.
Preparing & Paying for College: Parents and students are invited to join us for an evening virtual presentation regarding applying to and paying for college. The meeting will be via Zoom on September 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM. The meeting link is here: https://bit.ly/CollegeAid2026 (Meeting ID: 870 3193 4400, Passcode: 996095). CMYC: Levine students are invited to apply to join Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council (CMYC), which serves as the official CMS Student Advisory Council and the youth council for the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County local governments. This opportunity is open to students in grades 9-13. CMYC gives HS students an official seat at the table with school and community leaders to advise, brainstorm, and problem-solve issues affecting youth. CMYC is also a powerful launchpad for students' futures, helping youth to build high-level professional skills, refine civic leadership abilities and opportunities, and cultivate a lasting network of peers, civic leaders, and community mentors. Students, if you want to represent your school, grow as a professional and civic leader, and work directly with school and community decision-makers, CMYC is for you! Sign up here.
Curriculum Night: LMCHS Parents are invited to join us on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. We will meet as a group in LV1233 at 5:30, and then parents will follow their child’s schedule for 15-minute presentations in our first, second, and third blocks. Teachers will share their course content, grading practices, etc. Join us on 9/23/26 at 5:30 pm!
Senior/Grade 13 Meetings: Seniors and Grade 13 students — please sign up for an individual meeting with Ms. Van Lauwe to discuss your plans for next year, college admissions, and remaining high school graduation requirements. The sign-up will be updated with dates 2 weeks out, so check back for later dates. Parents are welcome to attend with their student. Sign-Up Genius for Senior Meetings
Junior Meetings: We ask that juniors schedule a check-in meeting with Ms. Ebrahim so we can see how your transition to the middle college program is going, any concerns you may have, and resources you may need. Sign up here. Dates will be added about 2 weeks out. All meetings will be in LV 1237.

Credit by Demonstrated Mastery: Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) is the process by which a student may earn credit for a high school course by demonstrating a deep understanding of the content, without course enrollment or seat time. The Fall window for submitting applications is open until September 4. You can find more information and the application here: Credit by Demonstrated Mastery Flyer
Suicide Prevention Awareness Month: September marks National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a dedicated time to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health crises and share life-saving resources.
